Dr. Gail Weingast Transforms Radiology
Gail Weingast, MD became a doctor in 1976, but Medical school was just the beginning. After that Dr. Weingast did a pediatrics internship from 1976-1977 at Colorado General Hospital in Denver, followed by a residency in pediatrics over the next two years, a radiology residency from 1980-1983. She followed that up with a fellowship in ultrasound technology in 1983 and she completed her post-graduate studies as a radiologist from 1983 to 1984 at St. Anthony’s Hospital, also in Denver. She then practiced at several other hospitals in Colorado and New York, until she settled into her current position, where she has been for 20 years.
Nowadays, Dr. Gail Weingast is a highly regarded radiology specialist at William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich, Connecticut. She currently serves at that facility’s Chief of Ultrasound and Breast Imaging and, over the course of her time there, she has been able to guide her department into its current position as one of the top such facilities in the country. Over all, with more than four decades of knowledge and experience, Dr. Weingast values every aspect of her educational and career journey because it has all contributed to make her the doctor she is today.
